Let's start with the basics! What is a GPX file?
If a file is called a GPX file it simply means that it is GPS data in a format that can be shared electronically. This is usually a GPS route that has been saved and shared online. You can download these GPX routes to your computer or phone and it will convert the file back into a GPS route. Magic!
You can import GPX files up to 4MB into, or export them from, the Beeline app. Check out the videos below to see how.

Please note: While the video below shows the steps being carried out on our Moto II device, the steps will work for all devices.
To import a GPX file into the Beeline app:
Open the Beeline app and choose the ‘Plan ride’ on the Ride page
Tap the ‘Options’ menu in the top right corner and ensure your route type is set to motorcycle before selecting ‘Import GPX route’
Select the desired GPX file and choose the mode you'd like to ride in. You can learn more about the GPX import modes here.
Voila! Your GPX file will be imported into the Beeline app and ready to ride!
Please note: you can only edit GPX-imported routes within the Beeline app if you are using the "Waypoints only" import mode. You can learn more about that mode in the article listed above.

To export a GPX file from the Beeline app:
1. Open the Beeline app and select the ride you would like to export as a GPX file
2. Tap on the 'Options' menu in the top right corner and select the 'Share/ download' option
3. Choose whether you would like to share/download the ridden or planned route
4. Choose your desired method of sharing or saving the file
