Want to go for a ride off-road with Beeline guiding the way?
Whilst the Beeline app has been designed first and foremost to route you on known roads within our road network (data provided by OpenStreetMaps), off-road riding is still possible within the Beeline experience with Compass Mode.
For off-road Beeline adventures, we recommend using the Compass Mode function to jump-start your journey!
Please note: the traditional Route Mode routing navigation is designed solely for use on roads and the routing in this mode will do what it can to guide you back onto the roads when on your journey.
Compass Mode allows you to create your own route, as Beeline points you toward your final destination. Imagine a compass that knows where you want to go and points there instead of north. You can learn more about Compass Mode here.
If there is anywhere you would particularly like to pass through on your ride, you may want to set some waypoints. You can set these by tapping on the grey line route and dragging the orange marker!
Alternatively, you can import a GPX file onto your app and use it with Compass Mode! You can find the GPX import tutorial here.
If you are not yet in the Beeline family and want to test this out for yourself, please download our app for free here and give it a try!
