Viewing and Saving Journeys

Learn how to view and save routes within the Beeline app, as well as how to view a Heatmap of all of the places you've been with Beeline!

Updated over a week ago

All of your Beeline ride history can be found within the Beeline app, in two places:

  1. Saved routes can be found in the home, "Ride" tab, ready to be quickly started for frequent or favourite routes.

  2. All journeys can be found in the middle, "Journeys" tab. Here you'll find all of your past journeys. This is where all of your rides with Beeline are automatically saved:

When you tap on one of your journeys, you will find a summary of the exact route you took, including the stats to show for it: distance, duration, speed, and elevation gain and loss. Here you will also have options to share the route on either komoot or Strava, or within the Beeline app.

To save the route within the Beeline app, use the "Options" button in the top right corner of the ride summary screen. This will give you the option to rename the ride, save the route, share/ download, or delete it from your journey list. Saving the route from here adds the trip to the "Saved Routes" section of the "Ride" tab, where it duplicates the exact route you took so you can ride it again:

Please note: You can only use the above option to save rides that have been ridden in Route Mode. If you aren't seeing the "Save" option, it will be because your ride was ridden in Record Mode. If you would like to save a ride that you rode in the Record Mode, you will need to first save the ride as a GPX file from the ride page > "Options" > "Share/ download," then re-import it into the app and save it that way.

If you're planning a ride for a later date, you can also save routes before they have been ridden by planning a ride in the Beeline app (or importing a GPX file), then hitting "Save" rather than starting the ride at that point:

And for those of you who love a good map as much as we do, the Heatmap feature will give you quite the motivating visual! Access it by tapping the "Heatmap" button in the top right corner of the Journeys page:

Each time you ride, a faint line will appear on the Heatmap in the trace of the route. The more you ride it, the darker it gets, and the more you ride the more lines you draw! Pretty cool (if we donโ€™t say so ourselves) ๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy Beelining!
