How to turn on the Apple Health integration

There are two ways to integrate your Beeline with Apple Health!

Option one:

  1. Make sure that you have iOS app version 3.1.4767 or later

  2. Complete a ride! On completion of your ride, you’ll see the left-hand screen in the below image:

asking you whether you would like to integrate your Beeline app with your Apple Health and Fitness apps.

  1. Tap “turn on all” to grant permission. (If you don’t see this screen, please follow the instructions in option two below)

Option two:

Please use this option if you have dismissed a previous message asking you whether you would like to grant Apple Health permissions.

In this case, you will see that Health Kit in the Beeline app settings menu is “enabled” but you need to complete a manual enabling step to make it work!

  1. Make sure that you have iOS app version 3.1.4767 or later

  2. Go to your phone’s settings menu (not the settings menu in the Beeline app!) and select Health. Then select “Data Access & Devices”, then “Beeline” and then “Turn on all”.

And there you have it! Any rides that you do in the Beeline app will automatically be saved to your Apple Health and Fitness apps as activity.

If you would like to disable the Beeline <> Apple Health integration at any point, you can either:

  • go to your Beeline app’s settings menu, tap on Apple Health and select “disable"

  • go to your phone’s settings menu, tap on Health and then on “Data Access & Devices”. Select Beeline from the list and then tap “Turn Off All”

A couple of things to note

  • You may notice that some of the data is slightly different in the Beeline app vs. the Apple Fitness app. These discrepancies will generally be small and are just due to slightly different data processing between the apps

  • Only rides that take place after you sync the two apps will be logged in Apple Health or Fitness. Historic rides will not be shared with HealthKit

  • Deleting rides is possible in either the Beeline or the Apple Health app but you’ll need to delete a ride/activity in both apps if you would like to delete it from both (they aren’t synced on this)

  • If you delete the Beeline app from your device you will be asked if you would also like to remove data shared to Health. You can choose to keep or remove this data
