Let Moto Bob walk you through it:
Within the Moto II mount range you’ll find the Mirror & Crossbar Mount - our new solution for mirror stalks or cross bars. We’ve designed it with customisation in mind, so you can rotate the clamp, mount head and mount insert positions to find the perfect spot on your bars for your Moto II.
What’s included:
Mirror & crossbar clamp
Mount with clamp piece and head piece
Screws within mount:
1 x M4 x 14 mm (socket head) - 3 mm hex key needed for installation
1 x M4 x 12 mm (countersunk head) - 2.5mm hex key needed for installation
Please note: the first batch of these mounts will come alongside a replacement screw to replace the existing one present in your mount. Please replace it accordingly.
Spacers for the following bar diameters:
10 mm
12 mm
14 mm
16 mm
Other tools you’ll need:
2.5mm and 3mm hex key - we’ve chosen not to include these to reduce waste. If you don’t have one of these already, please visit beeline.co/hex-keys.
To install your Mirror/ Crossbar mount:
1 - The mount will come pre-assembled. Disassemble the mount using a 2.5mm hex key to remove the head piece from the clamp. Use the same hex key to loosen the clamp piece. Be sure to cup the mount into your hand so none of the screws are lost in the disassembly. Please see the note below if the rubber screw retainer does come apart during disassembly.
2 - Decide which bar shim size is appropriate for the bar you’re applying the mount to. Wrap this around the bar in preparation for the clamp.
3 - Close the clamp piece around the rubber shim applied to the bar in Step 2, making sure that the teeth on the top half of the clamp align with the bottom half.
4 - Secure the clamp piece with the M4 x 14mm screw with an 3mm hex key.
5 - Next you will attach the head piece. You’ll notice this piece has an inverted groove which aligns with the raised groove on the clamp piece. This is to control the angle at which your mount is pointed. Place the head piece onto the clamp and find the angle you’d like your Beeline to be positioned in. You may want to mimic being on your bike to make sure the angle you pick is how you’d prefer it before screwing it in.
6 - Once you’ve decided the head piece is in the correct position, use your hex key to secure the M4 x 12mm screw into place.
7 - Your mount is ready to ride! Pop your Moto II in and make sure it’s nice and snug before heading out.
Happy Beelining!
Note for cases of the retainer nut assembly coming apart:
This part should remain in place during assembly, but if it does come apart, please follow the diagrams below to put it back properly. The metal retaining nut should be inserted into the rubber caddy, before being pushing into place and then securing by adding a bar spacer:
