Enabling speed limits on the Moto II

Speed limits can now be viewed when riding with the Beeline Moto II.

Enabling speed limits

To enable speed limits for your Moto II device, make sure that your Moto II is turned on and connected to the Beeline app.

Then, head to the Beeline app > Settings > Device settings > “Navigation Screen speed limits” > Enable

Once you have done this and started a ride within the Beeline app, your device will then tell you the speed limits in the following ways:

Viewing speed limits on the Moto II

From the navigation screen:

You’ll see the speed limit indicated within the circle on the right side of your device screen.

The progress bar on the outer edge of the circle will indicate your proximity to the speed limit.

If you are under the speed limit, the icon will remain white as follows:

If you are over the speed limit, the progress bar will surpass the completed positions and the icon will turn red, continuing with the progression on the outer edge to indicate how far over the limit you are:

You can also view speed limits from the speedometer screen.

The speed limit will be indicated by a red dot relative to the current speed being travelled as such:

If you have gone over the speed limit, the progress bar will surpass the indication, and the screen will turn red:

Please note:

  • Speed limit indications will not appear whilst riding GPX imported routes or rides ridden in Record Mode

  • Speed limit indications are gathered from publicly available sources and may not always be 100% accurate. Please be aware of locally posted speed limits and do not exceed them if the Beeline is telling you differently.

  • There is currently no way to disable speed limits shown on the speedometer screen. We’re working on this capability, so it will come before long, but for the time being, enabling and disabling the feature will only affect the icon on the navigation screen
